This is apple candy, not apple fruit. Not the farmer’s market kind; the kind wrapped in cellophane that you remember from somewhere you can’t quite place. Bright, a little tart, undeniably sweet. It’s not subtle and it doesn’t try to be. For people who love exactly that register, it hits.
The base is more involved than our Basic formula; shea butter and almond oil go in alongside coconut, sunflower, and palm. Castor is higher than usual, which builds out the lather. Kaolin clay smooths the bar. The result is a softer feel in the hand than a stripped-down soap, with a wash that doesn’t leave your skin tight.
